Abstract<\/p>

Constructing multimodal stations is one of the considered ways to\u00a0implement transit-oriented development (TOD), with the goal of\u00a0synergizing land use and transportation to promote both greater transit\u00a0accessibility and sustainability in urban areas. Improvements in such\u00a0accessibility have led to an uplift in land value and housing prices. These\u00a0price changes have been primarily studied by analyzing the effects of\u00a0proximity to stations of a single line or multi-line mass rapid transit (MRT)\u00a0system. However, little attention has been paid to investigating the\u00a0effects of different types of multimodal MRTs and railway joined stations.\u00a0The aim of this study is to investigate the different types of multimodal\u00a0stations in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan. We use publicly available housing\u00a0transaction data to construct hedonic price models. The results show\u00a0that in the Kaohsiung MRT stations, an increase of 100 m in distance\u00a0from the stations results in a TWD 258,0001 decrease in the average\u00a0housing price. The housing price elasticity with respect to a 1% increase\u00a0in distance from these stations is \u22120.067%.
