Winners of the GSSI Best Paper Award

Announcement: Winners of the GSSI 2021 International Real Estate Review Best Paper Award

We are pleased to announce the winners of the Global Social Science Institute (GSSI) 2021 International Real Estate Review (IRER) Best Paper Awards, which were selected from the papers published in Volume 23 (2020) (Issues 3 and 4) and Volume 24 (2021) (Issues 1 to 4) based on the voting of the Editorial Board members.

The GSSI 2021 IRER Best Paper Award winners are:

Gold Award (USD 10,000):

Housing Wealth, Consumption Channels and Mortgage Liberalization, Vol 23, Issue 4 (2020), by Lingxiao Li and Bing Zhu

Silver Award (USD 5,000):

The Predictability of House Prices: Human Against Machine, Vol 24, Issue 2 (2021), by Kiristoffer B. Birkeland, Allan D. D’Silva, Roland Fuss, and Are Oust

Bronze Award (USD 2,500 each):

Do Foreign Investors Perform Better than Domestic Investors? Evidence from Commercial Real Estate Equity Investment in Emerging Market, Vol 24, Issue 1 (2021), by Dongjoong Kim, Changha Jin, and Jin Man Lee

An Empirical Method for Decomposing the Contributions of Land and Building Values to Housing Value,  Vol 24, Issue 3 (2021), by Kuan Lun Pan, Hsiao Jung Teng, Shih-Yuan Lin, and Yu En Cheng

We convey our heartiest congratulations to the authors of the above winning papers for contributing their excellent works to IRER. Our sincere gratitude also goes to the Editorial Board members who have contributed in the paper selection process.

We urge you to submit your papers for review for publication in IRER, and papers published from Issues 1 of Volume 25 (2022) to Issue 4 of Volume 26 (2023) of IRER will be eligible for considerations for the GSSI 2022-23 IRER Best Paper Awards.
